Transforming the Employee Experience at TBG

June 9th, 2022

As a response to both the changing nature of the accounting industry and the evolving needs and desires of the workforce, our firm has committed to creating an unparalleled employee experience. Over the past 18 months, we have diligently worked to gather feedback and implement changes to strengthen and emphasize the unique attributes of our culture.

Here are some of the ways we have transformed, and are working to transform, our employee experience at TBG:

Feedback

We established an Insights Team program, which is a firm-wide initiative with nationally recognized consulting firm, Batiste Leadership, centered upon listening to the voice of our people. We leveraged “Stay Interviews” to gather feedback from a cross-section of current employees to understand how our current practices impact performance, both positively and negatively. From the insights gathered, a plan was developed outlining changes to impact policies and enhance culture.

Flexibility

At TBG, we value both in-person interaction and the flexibility working from home provides, which is why we have adopted a hybrid work model. Our Flexible Work Model is aimed at providing our People with the flexibility they are looking for, while protecting the invaluable culture we have worked so hard to create; a culture of relationship building, collaboration, teamwork, and pride. While we still strongly believe that face-to-face interactions are critical for fostering deep colleague and client relationships, we respect everyone’s desire for flexibility.

In addition to our unlimited PTO and “Dress for your Day” policies, this Flexible Work Model is designed to encourage and support work-life balance because we know how important it is to be able to spend time focusing on the things you love.

Innovation

At TBG, we are consistently on the cutting edge of technology and process improvement. Our Audit and Tax/SBA Transformation Teams were developed to create strategies and solutions to re-invent our work processes and improve the work-life balance of our client-facing professionals. These teams worked to identify ways to reduce “busy season” compression, maximize engagement and recognition, and optimize balance.

These are just a few of the ways our firm is working to support and employee experience that is second to none. If you are interested in a career at The Bonadio Group, reach out today or check out current openings on our Careers page!
