Courtney is a Director in Bonadio’s Advisory and Consulting division and founder of CareFindr. Courtney provides various consulting services for government, non-profit, and for-profit clients. She specializes in fraud investigations, forensic accounting, operational audits, and internal control reviews, focusing on enhancing organizational policies and procedures to maximize program efficiencies, strengthen internal controls, and mitigate internal fraud risks.
Courtney Handy joined Bonadio’s Strategic Advisory Group in 2019 after 10+ years of conducting financial statement audits, internal control audits, and operational reviews for public and private companies, including health insurance providers. Courtney is an expert in performing risk assessments and gap analyses to help organizations identify and minimize internal fraud risks, increase efficiency, and remain compliant with applicable regulations.
Courtney graduated from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management of Syracuse University in 2006. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
