Steve is The Bonadio Group’s Small Business Advisory (SBA) Service Line Leader. Steve’s primary objective in leading the SBA Service Line is to focus on quality and excellence. He ensures that SBA, as one of the firm’s four Service Lines, will support the growth of each of the industries the firm focuses on. This is accomplished by managing talent, monitoring quality, supervising productivity, and implementing standardization. Steve is responsible for ensuring practitioners within the SBA Service line are highly trained, capable, and accessible to help achieve growth and professional goals.
Throughout his over 29-year career at Bonadio, Steve has served as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and has worked with closely held business clients in providing accounting, tax, and consulting services. His leadership has helped place TBG as a nationally ranked Top 40 Accounting Firm.
Steve is an active Board Member of the Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center; he is also an active member of the St. John Fisher University Accounting Alumni Association. Prior community involvement has included board membership of the Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation, and he has provided seminars for start-up businesses for the Urban League of Greater Rochester.
Noteworthy career achievements include graduating from Harvard University’s Executive Leadership Program. St. John Fisher University named Steve as the Outstanding Accounting Alumnus of the Year and further honored him as a Dean’s Medal recipient, honoring exemplary and sustained contributions in the service to the School of Business. The Rochester Business Journal recognized him as a 40 under 40 recipient. The AICPA selected Steve to help establish the minimum passing standards for the uniform CPA examination.
