As the Industry Leader, Public Sector & Not-for-Profit, Tom is responsible for business development, client and project acquisition, geographic expansion activities, and determining how and where each of their industry clients is best serviced within our Public Sector & Not-for-Profit Industry. He is responsible for firm revenue and working collaboratively to optimize profitability for clients in the Public Sector & Not-for-Profit Industry. By staying current on technical matters and business objectives affecting the Public Sector & Not-for-Profit Industry, Tom works to identify and fill training gaps and new service line opportunities for the firm.
In addition, Tom is the Regional Managing Partner for the Capital Region and Vermont Offices. His primary objective is maintaining our firm’s culture within the Capital Region. He has general oversight of practitioners and professionals within his geographic area and attention to community initiatives and regional client activities. Tom works with the regional firm leaders to assist in people matters; he ensures active participation by all employees in mentoring programs and ensures regional Partners participate in the firmwide, regional office, and PROMISE team culture activities.
Furthermore, Tom is an Assurance Partner with more than 25 years of experience auditing various entities. He specializes in auditing large, closely held businesses, construction and real estate companies, and labor unions.
Outside of work, Tom spends time with his wife and two children. When his kids were small, he enjoyed coaching them in youth basketball and little league baseball. He is also an avid member of the Albany community, having served as past Trustee and Audit Committee Chair of Northern Rivers Family of Services and as past Treasurer of Ellis Hospital Foundation.
